Accessibility Policy
Borders Health Board are committed to making information available on their website regardless of web browsers used or physical characteristics of users.
Our philosophy is to build a single site that is accessible to as many people as possible. We designed-in accessibility from the beginning.
Accessibility doesn't just mean writing good web site code. We will endeavour, where possible, to use Plain English, stripped of jargon and colloquialisms, which will help non-native English speakers use our site more effectively. Low graphics, and text alternatives will allow both sight impaired users, and users of hand-held Internet devices to access our information easily.
We aim to adhere to the Scottish Health on the Web (SHOW) Guidelines for Accessibility (PDF file - 125Kb)
If you feel the site is too hard to view
feel free to select, from below, a different look to the site. The
accessible link will reverse out colours and increase text site to help
with the interpreation of content on the site.
