Other Appeals
A previous fundraising appeal was the Kidney Dialysis Appeal which originally set out to raise £120,000 to support the expansion of the Haemodialysis Unit at the Borders General Hospital.
Thanks to the exceptional generosity of the people of the Borders, including dialysis patients and their friends and family, we have raised £250,442.85 and the new unit welcomed patients on the 26th June 2011.
James Marjoribanks, The Difference Fundraising Appeal Chair, said: “I should like to thank everyone who made donations, both large and small, that have allowed us to provide a specially enhanced dialysis unit that patients in the Borders will get the benefit of for years to come.”
