It's going to cost around £830,000 to extend and refurbish the Borders Macmillan Centre in
Borders General Hospital

With contributions from Macmillan Cancer Support
and our existing funds we are already more than
three quarters of the way there!

The Difference has less than £200,000 left to raise to make this project a reality and we are hoping the people of the Scottish Borders can help us raise £100,000 of that with our “Give Us A Hand – Help Us Expand” Appeal

Hannah Longmuir Image.png

Hannah Longmuir is a countryside artist based in the Scottish Borders.  Working mainly in pencil, she records the details of the fields and woodlands and hedgerows around her.  She creates calm, delicate drawings, carefully observed and full of character.  She then uses these drawings to create her beautiful range of nature-inspired cards and stationery.

"My parents were both wonderful gardeners and these cards are a tribute to them and the little wildlife havens they created. "

10% of each card sold will be donated to the appeal.

You can read about the inspiration behind the cards in her blog post or click here to be taken to the cards in her online shop.

Melrose & Beyond
Charity Poetry Booklet

BMC Booklet Image.png

Ian McLachlan enjoys writing whimsical verse for the amusement of family and friends.  He previously produced a poetry booklet that was successful in raising money for our Margaret Kerr Unit Appeal in 2011. This time Ian's witty ditties have been joined by stunning photography courtesy of Ian's friend, Willie Johnston.

This collection of 20 poems have a distinctly local flavour, are full of humour and are complimented beautifully by the photos.

Booklets are £5 and every penny goes to the appeal.
